Objective: Redesign the existing quality improvement workshop to meet the needs of different audiences.

Challenge: Quality facilitators needed more flexibility in delivering the workshop to team members and managers throughout the company.

Solution: Training by Design reorganized the participant workbook so facilitators could adapt the course content and length to meet the specific needs of team members and managers. We also redesigned the trainer's guide to include a materials list, estimated delivery times and step-by-step instructions on facilitating workshop activities and using visual aids. Facilitators reported that the redesigned materials reduced preparation time and were much easier to use with different audiences.

Objective: Design and develop a trainer's guide to accompany existing participant materials for a process improvement workshop consisting of eight sessions.

Challenges: Trainers needed a detailed guide that provided a consistent delivery approach. The trainer's guide also had to follow the layout and format of the existing participant materials.

Solution: Training by Design designed a trainer's guide that was divided into four sections: Prepare, Introduce, Present, and Summarize. The trainer's guide also included step-by-step instructions on how to prepare for and deliver each session as well as hints on facilitating exercises. We matched the layout and design of the trainer's guide with the participant materials by using the same fonts, type styles and graphics. The finished trainer's guide was used to teach the process improvement workshop to 3,000 employees company-wide.
