The Difference is in the Design

About Training by Design

The Training by Design concept is based on the idea that successful job performance is a result of planning and is not left up to chance. The difference in our training is in the design, which begins with an accurate analysis of training and performance needs before any training solution is recommended.

Training by Design's founder and owner is Audrey Choden. She has more than 30 years of experience in corporate training and development. Before starting her own business in 1988, Choden was employed by some of the Kansas City area's largest public and private employers including Payless Cashways, Allied Signal, University of Kansas Medical Center and Western Auto. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies nationwide.

As Contributing Editor - Training and Development for Suite101.com, she wrote and produced content for more than 40 articles, monitored an online discussion board and provided links to the best HRD sites on the Internet.

Audrey Choden has held leadership positions in the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). She is founding president of the Kansas City ISPI chapter. As a skilled researcher, she authored the 1996 Issues & Trends Report for the Human Resource Development (HRD) Consultancy Forum of ASTD.
